My Top 4 Lipsticks ♡

lippies 001Hi guys!

I wanted to try something different from my previous posts and thought I would let you know what my top 4 lippies are! I should start off by saying I am obsessed with lipsticks and narrowing it down to 4 was sort of hard for me. Each of these lipsticks are different as I didn’t want to bore you with ones that looked too similar. I usually opt for , Oranges , plums and browns. I feel is suits my skin tone better when I wear them so these 4 lipsticks represent each shade!

I included swatches below and more information on each lipstick.

lippies 002

1. Estee Lauder Pure Color 48 Hot Kiss Shimmer: I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adore this lipstick. I got this lipstick last year in an Estee Lauder gift set for Christmas, it’s a beautiful brown shimmer lipstick that leaves your lips feeling moisturized and hydrated throughout the day. I got three other lipsticks in the gift set which are all amazing quality and actually smell pretty good also! but this was by far my favourite. My lips just look so much more fuller when I wear this its amazing and I dread the day that it runs out!

2. Catrice Ultimate Colour 050 Princess Peach: Although I wouldn’t say this lipstick is a peach , I still love it because It was the exact colour I was looking for when I came across it. When applied to my lips it comes off as a neon orange which I adore when I’m fake tanning and I have a bronze glow to my face. I think this lipstick is perfect for spring and summer since it makes such an amazing statement alone . This lipstick is also on the moisturizing side ,it’s definitely not matte so anyone who wants that matte effect dab some concealer on your lips before you apply and VOILA! matte lipstick!

3. Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss 107: This lipstick has been on my collection for a few years now , I’ve been through 2 of them , that’s how much I love this colour. It’s a dark red  berry colour and it can be built up to appear almost a deep purple, unlike the others this lipstick is matte and can be quite drying so I like to apply a balm before it and let it sink in so my lips don’t feel so dry when I wear it throughout the day There is no shimmer in it which I love , I’m not a fan of purples having  shimmer in it as I feel its a little too dramatic for me personally since its such a deep colour already.

4.NYX  Extra Creamy Round Lipstick 558 Cocoa: This has been a recent purchase for me , I went out on a whim and got the shade Cocoa thinking it might be a little too dark for my skin tone , but decided TO HECK! I will try it out anyways. ( you can tell I was in a daring mood that day haha ) I got home and put it on immediately and loved it , I was sooo surprised that it actually suited me since it’s a shade or two darker than my Estee Lauder lippie and I didn’t really think I could pull off a darker brown lipstick than that one! This lipstick is also a creamy moisturizing consistency and I find it a little hard to matte this one down so if you’re into the matte lipsticks you might want to try NYX’s matte lipstick range.

Thanks so much for reading guys its been super fun writing this post. I just realized I have a good few non matte lippies and didn’t really think I had that much I was always into the mattes so I sort of shocked myself a little when I realised that most of my collection aren’t matte haha I suppose you learn something new everyday!

I may be MIA for the next few weeks or so as exams are coming up ( eek!!) and I really really need to study for them. I’ll have one more post up this week and it will be a post on what I get for my birthday , I’ll be 19 on thursday so you can expect the post to be up Friday/Saturday

you can follow me on twitter and Instagram to see what I get up to when I don’t blog!I would love to know if you tried out any of these lipsticks and what you thought of them! why not drop me a comment below and tell me your favourites?

Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water ♡

garnier 001

Hi guys!

So I had a lot of you requesting a review on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water that I had bought last week, so I decided that I would do a mini review on it for you as I’m still only beginning to get used to it.

I should probably start off my stating my skin type ( not that this matters as the product is hypoallergenic and is suitable for sensitive skin , but maybe people with the same skin type would like to see how it worked out for me! ) I have combination skin. I have drynes around the sides of  my nose , and between my eyebrows. I get a more oily on my forehead and I’m normal everywhere else.

All I can say is wow! this product is absolutely amazing! I’ve never ever tried any other Micellar waters so I can’t compare as this was my first , but I’m soooo impressed with this stuff! I picked it up because I knew it had a huge hype around it and thought, for €4.50 it’s worth a shot! I used it the first night I got it and couldn’t believe how easily and smoothly it took my makeup off, especially around my eyes. I hate waking up with panda eyes in the morning when I think I’ve got all of my mascara off the night before , but this Micellar water takes EVERYTHING off. This product has micelles which act like magnets and softly and gently takes away all makeup on your face.

I find when I started to use this product that my skin had become more hydrated and glowy my skin also feels much softer than it had before I used this product. After I use this product my skin feels so damn refreshed and clean. I haven’t broken out from this product and it actually feels like any small spots I had on my face are disappearing faster due to using this.I should also say that the only thing new in my skincare routine is this cleansing water  nothing else has been added or taken away.

This product is suitable to cleanse around your lips also , so no need to worry about your lips chapping ( does this happen to anyone else with different cleansers? I always find my lips get a little dry) There’s absolutely no fragrance off this product which ultimately makes you think clean and happy thoughts haha! I hate when products have fragrance , I find that its heavily fragranced products that tend to break me badly.

I really can’t find any fault with this product, the packaging is cute , it keeps its promise and cleanses my face beautiful and hydrates my skin. I wouldn’t exactly say that you get 200 uses out of this bottle but for the price it is and the quality I don’t mind picking up another once this runs out.

thanks so much for reading guys I hope this review helped you whether you were thinking of buying this product or just coming across it and wanted to know what it was like.

Review: Nyx Dewy Finish Setting spray + Nyx Liquid Illuminator ♡

nyxHi Everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great day! It’s so warm here in Ireland today so I’m outside relaxing with a coke as I write this blog ( ahhh bliss) Today I decided to do a review on the Nyx Dewy Finish Setting spray and the Liquid Illuminator. I picked these products up a good while back and thought a review was in order!

The first thing I picked up was the Nyx Dewy Finish Setting Spray I heard so many good things about this and for € 9.99 for a finishing spray , I just couldn’t leave the drugstore without buying it. This spray is great!  I feel so refreshed and hydrated when its on. I sprayed this on my face at 8 am and I still look dewy as heck at half 2 in the evening! The only thing I dislike is that I don’t find it really makes my makeup last that much longer. I would say my skin is a combination of oily and dry , so I like how it hydrates my dry patches and it doesn’t make me look super oily either! I would rate this product a 9/10 just because I don’t find it makes my makeup last any longer than it normally would. If you want your makeup to last longer along with  this spray I would recommend using a primer! This setting spray also comes in a Matte finish.

I then picked up the Nyx Liquid Illuminatoragain I’ve heard sooooo many good things about this and thought why not try it out this cost me €4.99 so thankfully it didn’t break the bank ( yay for affordable makeup!!) I apply this with my ring finger to the high points of my cheeks and it gives me such a nice rosy tinted glow. I got this in the shade Gleam which is a pink tinted highlighting colour perfect for that natural flush. I was actually looking for the Lighter illuminator in Sunbeam before I picked this one up which is more of a white pearl but there was none left so I opted for this one , and I’m glad I did now as I sort of like it better than what the lighter one had to offer. I sometimes mix the smallest amount with my foundation to give me that “glowing from within” look! it’s such a natural glow and brilliant for every day. I find you can also use this as a blush if you build it up and then set it with a little bit of powder and it works wonders also. I would give this product a 9/10 just because I would love to see them come out with a darker shade in this range,I think it would look amazing under makeup to really give a bronzey glow to the skin as if you were catching some of those wonderful rays of sun!

I love nyx I think they’re such an affordable  brilliant brand and have amazing quality products for their prices. I was no way surprised how well these worked out because their products never fail to impress me! I think both of these products would be soooo good for the summer as they supply you with hydrated and glowy natural looking skin! these two will definitely be a must in my summer makeup regime.

thanks so much for reading guys!

Mini drugstore Haul ♡

Hi all!

So today I thought I would do another mini haul I really loved doing the first one so decided to show you what I got before I slaved away at work today! I also got a few clothing items but thought I would stick to the beauty for the time being.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: 4.50, I picked this up in Penneys ( Primark for anyone living in the UK) I heard so many great reviews on this product and how its a dupe for  bioderma. I thought I would give it a try since it was so cheap. If you would like a review on this in the future let me know!

Bourjois Java Rice Powder: 12.99 If you’ve been reading a few of my previous posts you can already tell how obsessed I am with Bourjois! I’m just in love with this brand. For their 150th Anniversary they brought out the Java Rice powder that had been one of the products that actually made their name go viral! I wanted to pick this up for the past few weeks but they never had any in stock in boots and today I finally got my hands on one! I am soooo excited to try this out! It’s quite shimmery so it makes for the perfect highlighter!

Seventeen Stay Time Concealer: 4.41 I really needed a light concealer to do highlighting. As I had just run out of my Nyx HD concealer , I decided to try something a little different this time and opted for this one. I picked up fair which is the perfect colour for me to highlight with. I can’t wait  to compare this to my Nyx concealer because I’ve been using the Nyx concealer for the longest time ever and it’s done such a great job. As for price there’s really no difference so its a win/win situation!

Thanks so much for reading guys I just wanted to a short enough post today and thought this would be a good idea.  If you’ve tried any of these products I would love to know what you think of them. drop me a comment!

Favourites: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foudation ♡

As some of you  know my go to drugstore foundation HAS to be the bourjois healthy mix. I’ve been using this foundation for a while and ever since the first application I swore .. I fell in love. Every time I see someone write a post on hauls or positive  reviews or makeup looks that incorporate the healthy mix foundation I immediately get so happy because someone else has found how good it works for them!

Today I decided to do another favourites post because I really enjoyed writing my first one that you can read here. Bourjois is one of my favourite drugstore brands, this love came from purchasing one of their baked blushes years and years ago.( so old that I can’t remember the name oops haha ) I tried out their Délíce de Poudre about a week ago and I can safely say that it has become one of my favourite bronzers to use! ( let’s not forget about the amazing smell! Who doesn’t love chocolate?)

Okay now on to the foundation! This foundation cost me around €11.99. I love how affordable this brand is and how high quality their products are.The foundation has a buildable coverage which I love , I like having the option to look natural using one pump or on days when I feel like I need a little extra coverage ( we all have those persistent spots and red marks that need tending!!) I can achieve it with a few more pumps. This foundation is the perfect foundation for people who want to achieve that dewy flawless look, it is easily set with powder but still gives your skin that radiant glow once you feel that you’ve powdered till the cows come home!  This foundation is also SPF free, so any of you girls/guys out there that hate that annoying white flashback when you look back on photos from nights out will be glad to know that doesn’t happen with this foundation! I sometimes feel like foundations dry out my skin a lot but this one doesn’t , I feel hydrated all day when I wear this foundation it’s amazing!

I can’t find one single fault with this foundation. I always try to pick out negatives but I can’t seem to find one for this product! It’s an all around amazing foundation that does its job! I would rate this a 10/10 and I’ll definitely be repurchasing this product again after this bottle runs out! It’s become one of my holy grails in my makeup kit!

If any of your guys have tried out this foundation how did you think it worked out for you? I would love to hear your thoughts on this product!

Thanks so much for reading guys you can follow me on twitter and Instagram to see what I get up to throughout the week

Review: Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit ♡

Hi Everyone!

Today I thought I would do a review on the Sleek Matte lip cream in Birthday suit because I know there is sooo much hype around this product and it’s constantly being sold out. So this is my own thoughts on the product.

The packaging lives up to the companies name, very sleek and professional looking. The price for this product is also amazing, taking into consideration that liquid lipsticks are all the trend this season this product retails for €6.49 which is fabulous!

The shade I got was their most talked about colour in “Birthday Suit”.  When I swatch this it shows up as a brown nude ( which I feel compliments my skin tone the best ) but , I’ve heard that the tone sometimes changes depending on your skin colour.  The consistency when you first apply it is ultra smooth and creamy and within 20/30 seconds it dries to a matte finish! The pigmentation is unbelievable , for such a cheap product the pay off is more than amazing!

what I love about this product is that you don’t feel the need to have to add balm a while  before you put it on. In many cases people feel as if liquid lipstick once dried, sticks to their dry patches on their lips. This one does not show any signs of dry patches at all! it also doesn’t feel heavy or caked on.

I absolutely love this product ,as well as Sleek as a brand and will be picking up their other Matte Me Shades to try out.

I would rate this product a 9/10 , the only thing I didn’t like was the taste ( I know I know ” don’t eat it then” … but really  … its sort of hard not to when it’s on your mouth haha! ) Thank you so much for reading and hopefully this post helped a little 🙂

Woohoo for high quality images!! I just got my DSLR back!

Birthday Wish List ♡

So … I told myself that I would try and calm down with the posts since it is my first week blogging and didn’t want to overwhelm myself but decided that this is the perfect ” laid back” post to do since it’s coming up to my birthday!

I’ve made a small list of things I would like to get and try out 🙂,1&wid=504&hei=548

1. Benefit Hoola Bronzer: I’ve wanted this product for such a long time but always had something that got in the way , be it paying for Contact Lenses or , getting birthday presents for my friends and family. I always put it at the back of my mind. I heard this product is great and is worth trying so I thought I would throw it down on the list since I’ve had my eye on it for a good while and I’m getting into a real fixation of trying out new bronzers.

2.Smashbox Studio Finish Primer: I’ve had the little sample one before and fell in LOVE! what an amazing primer! it just made my foundation last soooo much longer on my skin and I felt like I didn’t need any touch up throughout the day! ( which is a massive must for me!) it also made my skin feel super smooth before I applied my foundation and gave me a smooth base to work with which I loved! I was soooo sad when the sample ran out a few days ago! I’ll be purchasing this product whether or not I get it for my birthday! AMAZING!

3.Flash by Jimmy Choo: If anyone knows me ( or smells me) they would know that this is my scent 24/7! I absolutely love this fragrance its been my all time favourite for a while now and I actually splurged out before Christmas and got myself a bottle and its nearly all gone!( before and I would run into the drugstore sprits on some and then run out haha!)  it smells beautiful! its such a girly distinct smell that I can’t even describe! it’s not sickly sweet which I like, I could spray this for years and not get bored with it! Spray a little on yourself when you’re in your drugstore and find out for yourself!

So that’s it! this is just the list I gave my family ( as I think it would be rather rude to just bombard my boyfriend and friends with a list haha plus I like little surprises too ) I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I loved writing it 🙂 the realization has just sank in that I’m 19 on the 30th! wow I’m getting old haha!
