Vanity Tour 2015

12049001_977963672265056_1646834257_n

Hi Everyone!

So I decided to add in a little something different to the posts that I normally do and have opted to show you my vanity through video. I thought it was a quicker and easier way to show you my vanity and was so much fun to film. I love the idea of starting my own youtube channel so I decided why not make a vanity tour my first video? I’ll list below where I have gotten everything from,

Malm Dressing Table- Ikea

Brush Holders- Ikea ( originally candle holders and flower pots)

Silver candle holder – Ikea

Containers – Ikea

Acrylic storage – I got this from a little discount store in my area  for around 20 euro but I’m sure you can find other storage like this on amazon or ebay.

Mirrored Light – boots

I am currently waiting to get some hollywood lights and a big old mirror up but wanted to get this version of my vanity up first because I was too excited and I also wanted to see how the process would look like getting everything ready and sorted. I hope you enjoyed this rather differnet post and don’t forget to thumbs up the video!! It would mean a lot!

I know the quality isn’t superb I’m still getting used to some things but I’m hoping i’ll get better at editing and all that jazz later on!It literally looks like I filmed on a potato but I’m sure I’ll be A OK once I have my better camera on me!

How To: Get rid of Stubborn Spots

skin care 003

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would do a short post on how I got rid of the  pesky spots that never seem to budge no matter how religious I am with my skin care. Every now and again I suffer from those really REALLY annoying under the skin spots , you know those ones that don’t seem to go away and you actually think you’re growing a second head? THOSE! For the past few weeks my skin has been getting on my nerves no matter how good I am with my skin care these spots are for staying on my face!

I decided  I would go into Boots and scurry through the shelves and see what they had in the line of spot remedies. I heard on a few blogs that Witch hazel is extremely great for getting rid of spots because it fights the bacteria creating them! I picked up the little Witch Blemish Stick for an amazing €3.49! BARGAIN! and it if it was going to promise to get rid of my spots, all the more better! There’s  currently an offer on in Boots where you can buy one get one free.

I’ve been using this product now for a good week and the spots that I have been battling with for over 3 weeks are completely dead and on their way off of my face and out of my life. redness has been reduced and that sore sensitive feeling is completely gone. All I’ve got on my face are fading marks from were they once where! I am sooo impressed by this little product and it will become a staple in my skin care from now on.

Have you ever tried Witch Hazel when trying to get rid of spots? Or have you used this exact product? Did it work for you? I would love to hear your opinions in the comments below.

Review: Timeless Truth Bio Cellulose Bee Venom & Royal Jelly Mask

Timeless Truth mask 013

Hi Everyone!

I’ve just received my Timeless Truth mask in the post today and couldn’t wait much longer to try it out , since it was one of the many exciting things awaiting me in the post I thought why not just try it out and give a review on it today? I’ve included price details and instructions also in this post to make it easier to follow. So lets get into the review…

I got the Bio Cellulose Bee Venom & Royal Jelly Mask from the company Timeless Truth  and this retails for £7.90 for one mask , or you can get a box of five for £38.50. You can check out the website for yourself HERE. So lets get onto the details of the mask and what is promises…

This mask is said to have the ” Latest in anti ageing treatment”  it also states that Bee Venom dates back to ancient times where creams and medicines were used to help any conditions. The bee venom in this mask is said to be an alternative to botox also!(goodbye wrinkles!) It contains Melittin which reduces anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties. They also say that ” Royal jelly is considered the ‘elixir of Youth’ and when it is mixed with the venom that the effects are enhanced! This mask is also helps the production of collagen and elastin which is super helpful for smoothing the face and giving you that amazing soft , plumped up youthful skin.

I decided to opt for this mask over the others because I feel like my skin isn’t looking as great as it has been the past while ,I’ve noticed little wrinkles where there never was before and thought I should deal with them now and not later and I feel this mask really promises great results so to took it for a whirl! First of all I cleansed my face well , I then placed the mask on my face making sure the protective layer was removed from both sides of the mask.I then removed the mask after 20 minutes. Before I put the mask on , I wanted it to feel really refreshing on my skin so I placed it into the fridge so that it would be nice and cooling when applied.

The mask itself felt extremely luxurious , it was saturated in product which I love , there’s nothing worse than getting a face mask and it having not enough product on it. It was quite tricky to get on at first but I managed! I actually looked like Hannibal Lecter) After only 3 minutes on my skin I felt my skin already begin to tighten. I was so excited when this happened because I felt it really get to work. Timeless Truth suggest that you put this mask on 3/4 times a week to see great results.I poured myself a cup of tea and relaxed while reading some blogs and watching some Youtube , When my 20 minutes were up , I took the mask off and rubbed in the extra product on my face as the mask suggested. I then followed up with my La Roche Posay moisturizer making sure I had locked all that moisture into my skin.

After about half an hour of having the mask off, I felt my skin feeling tight and plump something it has had a lack of in a while.I was so impressed by this mask it really is such a luxurious relaxing mask that’s perfect for unwinding.

I was sent this mask by the company for the purposes of reviewing. All opinions are my own.

Thanks so much for reading this post guys, if you have any questions I would love to answer them so leave them in the comments below. You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram if you want to know what I get up to when I don’t blog.

July Favourites 2015 ♡

julyfavourites

Hi Everyone!

I’m a mere 6 days late with this but I thought I would put up my july favourites anyways since I do have quite a bit that I’ve been loving this month in terms of pretty much everything! I’m hoping to get up a review this week too so hold tight for that. Lets get started on the all important favourites!

Beauty Favourites:

1. L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour foundation: If you’ve read my review on this foundation you’ll know that it is probably my favourite drugstore foundation at the moment and I don’t know whether its going to change soon. I decided to give this foundation a go after I seen numerous Beauty Gurus on Youtube rave about it , I fell in love at first application. You can read my full review on this product HERE

2.Benefits Hola Bronzer: I got this product a few months back , and have been using it religiously since. Its a cult favourite in the makeup world , everyone has had to try it at least once. I actually have many uses for this product such as the obvious Bronzer , I also use this to contour lightly and as eyeshadow. Its such a diverse product. I also wrote about this product HERE.

3.L’Oreal La Palette Nude: I’ve used this palette everyday since I’ve gotten it either mixing it up with different colours in other palettes or sticking to only this palette. The shades in this palette are all warm which is perfect for me because I’m a warm toned kind of gal and I look almost corpse like once one cool toned shade is on my skin. Absolutely adore this palette only thing I don’t quite like is the price. I’m not a fan of spending almost 20 euro on a drugstore palette.

Movie Favourites:

So I only have one movie favourite of this month , but I still wanted to talk about it. I would love to hear about your favourite movies so I could give them a look, I recently went to see Ant-Man and was a little disappointed. Please leave suggestions below.

1. Pretty Women: So recently I found myself quite bored at the house so decided to have a good rut through the old DVD collection and came across this classic! I had seen clips and bits of this movie but never really took time to watch it fully. I watched it and loved it , I actually watched the film 3 times that day! I absolutely adore Julia Roberts and her laugh is absolutely golden! I actually think I might have to go watch it again… hmm…

Youtubers:

1.NikkiTutorials: I adore this girl! She is so down to earth and amazing at what she does, she’s really given me the inspiration on trying out new makeup looks and giving new makeup products a go. She’s deffinitly worth the watch and she’s also hilarious, what more could you want?

2.RachelLeea: I haven’t been subscribed to Rachel that long but I’ve been falling in love with her and her youtube channel quickly this past month, she covers everything basically from Makeup Tutorials to Q&A’s to Healthy eating tips and DIY decor , She’s a joy to watch and will get your inspitation going if you’re lacking the motivation to do a project.

So thats my favourites guys , I would really appreciate if you could leave me some movie suggestions below because my summer is coming to an end but I still love cuddling up and having a lazy day by the TV. So if its to do with Superheros Romance or Comedy leave it below!

What’s in my Bag? ♡

whatsinmybagedit

Hi Everyone!

I thought I would do this tag today , I’ve been wanting to do it for a long time now but was never really comfortable with how much clutter and excuse my french but shit , that has been in my bag. I should probably start off and say that I am a bag obsessed freak!! For as long as I can remember I have always loved hand bags and I needed to buy a new one almost every week. I can honestly say my obsession with hand bags has now gone to the back of my head and I’ve purchased maybe 3 tops this year.

The bag I am currently using is on I got from H&M for €50. A little pricey I know but I had my eye on it for quite some time and decided why not? I can treat myself now! So lets delve into the contents!

whatsinmybagedit2

1. Makeup Bag: I got this makeup bag from River Island and it was a birthday gift from my friend Sarah , I can never go a day without touching up my makeup be it either my mascara or my lippy , I NEED my makeup bag with me at all times. I have a Whats in my Makeup Bag post on moi blog which you can read all about HERE.

2. Detangler: Another necessity for me, I get extremely unruly hair, it knots so bad , to the point I can’t use a normal brush, my hair is quite thin and not in the best condition it could be in so this helps with not ripping my hair out of my skull … so yes a life saver!

3.Purse: Probably one of the most important things that everyone should have in their bag. I actually have 2 purses one for my notes and euros , and then another for small change , I can’t stand it when my change is all in my purse because I can’t stand mess!

4.Sunglasses: I’m forever hopeful that the weather in Ireland will pick up… aren’t we all?

5.Keys: Handy for when you don’t want to be locked out of your house and when you’re out late drinking and you need to get in the door! again a necessity

6: Passport: Life is hard when you look like a 4 year old when you’re actually 19. Gotta keep that ID on me!

7. Lynx  for Women: Pretty obvious why I would carry this about. I wanna smell good and I really like this scent so it works for me! Nobody likes a smelly person.

8: iPhone: I like to keep in contact with people , I have the iphone 4s , I should probably upgrade because this phone is absolutely terrible for its battery , its dead within  2 hours off the charge. Has anyone else got this problem or is it just me? let me know

That’s really all I have in my bag , Its massive and I literally have nothing in it haha! Nothing surprising nothing too unusual I suppose. I hope you liked this post , its something I haven’t done before but I actually enjoyed writing it. I love reading these types of posts cause deep down I’m a little curious to know what else I should probably have in my bag.

I feel like I have enough in my bag I don’t want to clutter it with stuff I wouldn’t use like my past bags ( I had sweets , a toothbrush , wipes and water bottles in it!)

Thanks so much for reading guys you can follow me on Twitter and Instagram to see what I get up to when I don’t blog!

My Everyday Makeup Routine! ♡

everydaymakeuproutine

Hi Everyone!

So today I was just lying about my house , and I thought why not write a blog post? and I was trying to do something new , something I hadn’t done before and then I realized I hadn’t even posted my everyday makeup routine , so I thought I would write about it today and tell you how I apply it and all that jazz! I have all the products numbered on how I would apply them so it would make it a little easier. I’m not going to include skin care because I want to do a post on that later on , on my blog so I left that out.

Makeup routine map

1. L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour Matte Foundation: This is now my holy grail foundation, I’ve finally found a foundation that I adore and that works best of my skin! I usually buff this in with a RT buffing brush but I have recently started bouncing a beauty blender over my face after it , it has given me the most flawless base ever! If you’d like to know more about this foundation you can read my full review on it HERE.

2. NYX HD Concealer: I’ve gone through two of these now and just love this product so much , a lot of people rave about how this is like the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealers , I’ve never tried them , so I can’t compare but these concealers are the best for highlighting aswell as covering up those pesky little imperfections! I apply this with a damp beauty blender to make sure its all blended in completely!

3. Bourjois Java Rice Powder: So I started off using this product as a highlighter because I had already owned a translucent powder and didn’t really need another so I multi-tasked and used it as a highlighter, since then my precious powder has ran out and I didn’t want to go and buy another so I thought I would use this since I already had it in my collection , and oh my god , this just makes your complexion look amazing , its so velvety and soft and makes your skin feel soft too! absolutely loving this powder!

4.Benefit Hoola Bronzer: ahhh Hoola , how I love thee! This bronzer is literally so amazing , it works on any skin tone whether you’re as pale as a ghost  or as sun kissed as a goddess, this bronzer will work on you its that universal! Its such a neutral tone that it doesn’t look orange or too grey on the skin it just looks like you’ve got such a beautiful tan! I have written all about this product HERE if you want to read more about it!

5.NYX Powder Blush in Angel: This blush is the perfect rosy blush! I find its perfect for any look that I go for , whether it be a glowy tanned look or a simple quick thrown together look. I use this because you literally cannot go wrong with it , it’s easily blendable and buildable!

6. Elf Eyebrow Kit in Light: I got this eyebrow kit from ShopMissA for 1 dollar! which is around maybe 89 cent in the republic of Ireland , bargain! this product is amazing , I didn’t hold up too much hope for it since it was only a dollar , but I’m glad I gave it a go since its become a staple in my makeup routine!

7.NYX Jumbo eye Pencil in Milk: A most loved and raved about product in the beauty community and a well worth loved and raved about product at that! I use this as a base and for carving out my brows! it makes eyeshadows stay on longer and also makes my eyebrows look hella fleekish!!

8. Sleek iDevine palette in Au Naturel: I’ve had this palette in my collection for some time now and I have to say its a love hate relationship , some of the colours are so creamy and buttery and blendable where most of the lighter shades can be more chalky and clumpy ( does this make sense? I dunno) I do however love the darker shades and use these shades to create a subtle “Halo Eye” which I have a How To blog post on how to achieve the look , you can read it HERE.

9.Essence Get Big Lashes Mascara: I love this mascara and with the price it is you really can’t go wrong , it combs through my lashes and just gives them a most needed lift! and yes , I do put on my mascara before my eyeliner… always have , always will! I wrote about this product HERE also.

10.Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner: I never used to be a big gel liner fan I usually leaned towards felt tip or liquid liners but recently I’ve gotten back into it and decided to give my maybelline eye studio a chance, it’s extremely creamy and easy to work with so I recommend it to those starting out with gel liner.

11. Estee Lauder Pure Colour in Hot Kiss Shimmer: If you’ve read my Top 4 Lipsticks post , you’ll remember I included this lipstick , this lippie is amazing! its a browny mauvey sort of colour that just goes with any type of skin tone , I wore it at my palest and I wore it at my tannest ( I get pretty dark especially when I go clubbing) I adore this lipstick but also quite sad that it was limited edition and I’m running out!!

Thanks so much for reading guys , I really enjoyed writing this post for you all , I thought I would do something a little different since I love mixing it up now and again , if you have any questions don’t hesitate , just ask below and I’ll get back to you! Do you have any recommendations on future posts? I would love to hear your opinions!

June Favourites 2015

june favourites Hi everyone! I thought I would do my June favourites today as I don’t think they’ll really change in the next four days since I don’t have plans on buying new products or watching anything new! This is my first favourites post so I thought I would just write down what I’ve been loving this month beauty related and then completely random! Hope you enjoy!

Beauty Favourites:

1. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk: I adore this product , I’m so glad I got my hands on it finally! My mum knew that I had been searching for this for ages and could never get it , so at the beginning of this month she spotted one left in my local drugstore and picked it up for me! I use this as an eyeshadow base and also to brighten up my tear duct area! I also use it to highlight under my brows! 2.elf Eyebrow Kit: I picked this up because it was only a Dollar on the shopmissa website ( you can see the haul I did from the shopmissa website here) and decided to give it a go earlier this month and I’m so glad I picked this little guy up! I got the shade light as I find mediums always a little too dark for me in any brow kit , this CHANGED my brow game! 3.Max Factor CC Colour Corrector: I decided to pick this up on a bit of a whim I didn’t really NEED it but thought hey why not? I actually tend to use this more as a brightening stick because its lighter than my foundaton so it highlights my face perfectly! I’ve been using it for the past month or so and I’ve noticed a great difference when I finish my base makeup! It also works at colour correcting too if y’all want to know but I use it mainly for highlighting!

Random Favourites:

1.Orange is the New Black: I started this show last week and watched all 3 seasons in 4 days! All I can say is WOW! I finally found a tv show that is interesting and doesn’t bore me by the third episode! I’m hooked and I cannot wait for season 4 now , pity its a year away! they really need to make 2 seasons  a year, have you watched Orange is the new black? comment below so we can have a fabulous conversation about Litchfields finest inmates haha!

2. Jurassic World: I’ve went to see this movie twice already since it came out, When I first seen the trailer for it I was already sold and wanted to go see it every since I knew it was coming out , The whole cast is pretty much amazing and I really can’t fault anything to do with it! great reboot! Have you seen Jurassic world? what did you think of it?

3.Sims Freeplay: So before you call me a cheap ass because I won’t buy the game , I thought starting out with the freeplay version would be better since I didn’t really know if I would enjoy it that much and would of bought Sims 4 and ended up hating it, buuuuuut I am addicted! I actually find myself ignoring my social media and just playing this all day .. which maybe isn’t the best when my boyfriend is wondering what I’ve been up to the past 5 hours haha but I’m seriously contemplating buying sims 4 now!

4. Danielle Mansutti: Can a person be in a favourites post? I’m sure they can! My favourite youtuber this Month and has been my favourite youtuber for almost a year now is the wonderful Danielle Mansutti, I adore Danielle , I think shes amazing she’s down to earth and a beautiful human being inside and out , she’s actually the person that inspired me to create a blog and influenced me to try make a youtube channel ( I have yet to film a video but it will be coming soon!) if you haven’t subscribed to her already you really should!

So those were my favourites for this month , I really enjoyed writing this post and can’t wait to write another next month! I had a lot of products that I liked this month but I wanted to narrow it down to just three and give you my all time favourites of this month just because it makes it a little easier and condensed!

I’m currently on the lookout for some new makeup products , leave your favourite makeup products down below so I can check them out!
