Mini Boots Haul

image

Hi everyone

so …. I did some splurging and I thought would share , I was totally only meant to be buying one thing on boots.ie , but decided that I needed a little bit more haha , it is quite a small haul but it all amounted to around 60ish euro so I suppose in a way … its not really!

The first thing I picked up and what was my soul mission to get was the Benefit Triple Performing Moisturiser  THIS MOISTURISER! Wow! I got a little sample of this product about a month ago and had been using it every day and found myself not really reaching for my other moistursier, so I thought I needed to get the full sized botttle when my little sample one ran out. This product cost €33.50

The next thing I picked up was the NYX Matte Liquid Liner I was in dire need of a new liquid liner as my gel one was on its last legs and I wanted to revert back to liquid since the makeup course I will be doing only focuses on liquid and I thought I may aswell get as much practice in as possible before it starts and try to train myself back into the liquid liner ways haha! This product cost €7.75

I needed to get a new concealer so I just picked up my holy grail Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer again because it literally gives off a highend finish at a drugstore price point , this concealer is the only concealer that I have actually repurchased because it was that good and its also a beauty community favourite so you’d be a bit silly not to try it at least once! This product was the cheapest coming in at €5.79

The last product I bought was the L’oreal Lumi Magique Primer I’m on a huge primer binge these past few weeks , and I needed to try this out ever since I heard it was meant to be a cheaper alternative to Mac Strobe Cream , I think under foundation this will really give me that ” glow from within” look that I absolutely adore! this product was €14.99

So my grand total spending was 61.99 which … sorta makes me feel a little sick inside to think thats what I spent but I suppose I can talk myself around and justify the fact that I NEEDED these products haha .

Have any of your tried these products? what were your thoughts , I would love to hear them below in the comments

July Favourites 2015 ♡

julyfavourites

Hi Everyone!

I’m a mere 6 days late with this but I thought I would put up my july favourites anyways since I do have quite a bit that I’ve been loving this month in terms of pretty much everything! I’m hoping to get up a review this week too so hold tight for that. Lets get started on the all important favourites!

Beauty Favourites:

1. L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour foundation: If you’ve read my review on this foundation you’ll know that it is probably my favourite drugstore foundation at the moment and I don’t know whether its going to change soon. I decided to give this foundation a go after I seen numerous Beauty Gurus on Youtube rave about it , I fell in love at first application. You can read my full review on this product HERE

2.Benefits Hola Bronzer: I got this product a few months back , and have been using it religiously since. Its a cult favourite in the makeup world , everyone has had to try it at least once. I actually have many uses for this product such as the obvious Bronzer , I also use this to contour lightly and as eyeshadow. Its such a diverse product. I also wrote about this product HERE.

3.L’Oreal La Palette Nude: I’ve used this palette everyday since I’ve gotten it either mixing it up with different colours in other palettes or sticking to only this palette. The shades in this palette are all warm which is perfect for me because I’m a warm toned kind of gal and I look almost corpse like once one cool toned shade is on my skin. Absolutely adore this palette only thing I don’t quite like is the price. I’m not a fan of spending almost 20 euro on a drugstore palette.

Movie Favourites:

So I only have one movie favourite of this month , but I still wanted to talk about it. I would love to hear about your favourite movies so I could give them a look, I recently went to see Ant-Man and was a little disappointed. Please leave suggestions below.

1. Pretty Women: So recently I found myself quite bored at the house so decided to have a good rut through the old DVD collection and came across this classic! I had seen clips and bits of this movie but never really took time to watch it fully. I watched it and loved it , I actually watched the film 3 times that day! I absolutely adore Julia Roberts and her laugh is absolutely golden! I actually think I might have to go watch it again… hmm…

Youtubers:

1.NikkiTutorials: I adore this girl! She is so down to earth and amazing at what she does, she’s really given me the inspiration on trying out new makeup looks and giving new makeup products a go. She’s deffinitly worth the watch and she’s also hilarious, what more could you want?

2.RachelLeea: I haven’t been subscribed to Rachel that long but I’ve been falling in love with her and her youtube channel quickly this past month, she covers everything basically from Makeup Tutorials to Q&A’s to Healthy eating tips and DIY decor , She’s a joy to watch and will get your inspitation going if you’re lacking the motivation to do a project.

So thats my favourites guys , I would really appreciate if you could leave me some movie suggestions below because my summer is coming to an end but I still love cuddling up and having a lazy day by the TV. So if its to do with Superheros Romance or Comedy leave it below!

Thanks so much for reading , you can follow me on twitter and Instagram if you want to know what I get up to when I don’t blog

My Everyday Makeup Routine! ♡

everydaymakeuproutine

Hi Everyone!

So today I was just lying about my house , and I thought why not write a blog post? and I was trying to do something new , something I hadn’t done before and then I realized I hadn’t even posted my everyday makeup routine , so I thought I would write about it today and tell you how I apply it and all that jazz! I have all the products numbered on how I would apply them so it would make it a little easier. I’m not going to include skin care because I want to do a post on that later on , on my blog so I left that out.

Makeup routine map

1. L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour Matte Foundation: This is now my holy grail foundation, I’ve finally found a foundation that I adore and that works best of my skin! I usually buff this in with a RT buffing brush but I have recently started bouncing a beauty blender over my face after it , it has given me the most flawless base ever! If you’d like to know more about this foundation you can read my full review on it HERE.

2. NYX HD Concealer: I’ve gone through two of these now and just love this product so much , a lot of people rave about how this is like the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealers , I’ve never tried them , so I can’t compare but these concealers are the best for highlighting aswell as covering up those pesky little imperfections! I apply this with a damp beauty blender to make sure its all blended in completely!

3. Bourjois Java Rice Powder: So I started off using this product as a highlighter because I had already owned a translucent powder and didn’t really need another so I multi-tasked and used it as a highlighter, since then my precious powder has ran out and I didn’t want to go and buy another so I thought I would use this since I already had it in my collection , and oh my god , this just makes your complexion look amazing , its so velvety and soft and makes your skin feel soft too! absolutely loving this powder!

4.Benefit Hoola Bronzer: ahhh Hoola , how I love thee! This bronzer is literally so amazing , it works on any skin tone whether you’re as pale as a ghost  or as sun kissed as a goddess, this bronzer will work on you its that universal! Its such a neutral tone that it doesn’t look orange or too grey on the skin it just looks like you’ve got such a beautiful tan! I have written all about this product HERE if you want to read more about it!

5.NYX Powder Blush in Angel: This blush is the perfect rosy blush! I find its perfect for any look that I go for , whether it be a glowy tanned look or a simple quick thrown together look. I use this because you literally cannot go wrong with it , it’s easily blendable and buildable!

6. Elf Eyebrow Kit in Light: I got this eyebrow kit from ShopMissA for 1 dollar! which is around maybe 89 cent in the republic of Ireland , bargain! this product is amazing , I didn’t hold up too much hope for it since it was only a dollar , but I’m glad I gave it a go since its become a staple in my makeup routine!

7.NYX Jumbo eye Pencil in Milk: A most loved and raved about product in the beauty community and a well worth loved and raved about product at that! I use this as a base and for carving out my brows! it makes eyeshadows stay on longer and also makes my eyebrows look hella fleekish!!

8. Sleek iDevine palette in Au Naturel: I’ve had this palette in my collection for some time now and I have to say its a love hate relationship , some of the colours are so creamy and buttery and blendable where most of the lighter shades can be more chalky and clumpy ( does this make sense? I dunno) I do however love the darker shades and use these shades to create a subtle “Halo Eye” which I have a How To blog post on how to achieve the look , you can read it HERE.

9.Essence Get Big Lashes Mascara: I love this mascara and with the price it is you really can’t go wrong , it combs through my lashes and just gives them a most needed lift! and yes , I do put on my mascara before my eyeliner… always have , always will! I wrote about this product HERE also.

10.Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner: I never used to be a big gel liner fan I usually leaned towards felt tip or liquid liners but recently I’ve gotten back into it and decided to give my maybelline eye studio a chance, it’s extremely creamy and easy to work with so I recommend it to those starting out with gel liner.

11. Estee Lauder Pure Colour in Hot Kiss Shimmer: If you’ve read my Top 4 Lipsticks post , you’ll remember I included this lipstick , this lippie is amazing! its a browny mauvey sort of colour that just goes with any type of skin tone , I wore it at my palest and I wore it at my tannest ( I get pretty dark especially when I go clubbing) I adore this lipstick but also quite sad that it was limited edition and I’m running out!!

Thanks so much for reading guys , I really enjoyed writing this post for you all , I thought I would do something a little different since I love mixing it up now and again , if you have any questions don’t hesitate , just ask below and I’ll get back to you! Do you have any recommendations on future posts? I would love to hear your opinions!

Full Review: L’oreal Infallible 24 hour Matte Foundation

Loreal Infalliable 001

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m going to review one of the most raved about foundations on the planet these days and it’s the L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour Matte Foundation. This foundation is being talked about on every platform online and it’s really no surprise! Many Youtubers and Beauty Bloggers use this foundation and swear by it so I thought I would do a full , in depth review on this product for you all today. Including a makeup look I did with it and how it held up throughout the night. I picked this product up because I seen Desi Perkins and LustreLux on Youtube rave about it and their foundation is always flawless so I thought I would give it a go!

Packaging

Nothing too special about the packaging on this one , but it is rather sleek and matte, perfect for the sort of foundation thats inside! I’m actually loving the fact that its in a tube , I’ve never actually owned a foundation in tube form but it does remind me of the MAC studio sculpt foundation with its long tube packaging.

Smell

Okay… the smell, probably one of the things people will either love or hate about it , personally I like it , it smells like MAC foundation a little “paint” like and strong , but I sort of like that smell, It reminds me of the smell of higher end foundations and that’s one of the things that caught my attention about it in the first place!

Coverage

Oh … my …. god! The coverage! As someone who loves their full coverage high end foundations I absolutely adore this drugstore one! the coverage is unbelievable! Applying this foundation is a dream, I buff it into my skin with a Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it just offers such an amazing coverage , any little imperfections is more than covered with this foundation. If you love full coverage I would 100% recommend this foundation , If you like more of a natural look, this one isn’t for you! I can build this up and it will NEVER EVER look cakey! I literally thanked the foundation gods when I had this on…. just wow!

Texture

The texture to this foundation is sort of a mixture , I don’t find it at all overly thick but it isn’t liquidy either, putting on the back of my hand it doesn’t run right away but there is a budge which I like because it lets me work with the product and place more on where I feel I need it. Its a thin texture which is strange for its full coverage but Its one of the features of this product I adore. Who doesn’t love looking flawless and  feeling like they aren’t wearing any makeup?

Price

Another one of the great things about this product is its price, for something that feels so high end and so expensive on the skin this retails for an amazing 12.29 , I actually picked up 2 because L’Oreal had an offer on (The Offer is still available to people in Ireland I’m not too sure about the UK) that you could get 2 products for 18!

Onto the most important question….How long does it last? I can honestly say that the 24 hour mark on this foundation is without a doubt the truth! I put this foundation on at 4pm I then went to one of my friends parties and went for a few drinks and didn’t come home until 4am! a full 12 hours later and my foundation was as perfect as it was the minute I placed it on my face! amazing!

This is a picture of the foundation along with powder, contour , blush , bronzer the whole Shabang! It completely covered any imperfections and I felt like I didn’t need much concealer in the end because it did such a great job, I literally just highlighted my face and off I went!

I hope you enjoyed this indepth review guys. I really wanted to take my time and write down my thoughts! This foundation has actually passed the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation that used to be my holy grail I wrote about the Bourjois Foundation  HERE .

How To: Halo Eye ♡

Halo Eye tutorialHi Everyone!

I’ve got a different kind of post for you all today something I’ve never done before and it’s a step by step tutorial on how I do my halo eye! I’ve always wanted to delve more into the makeup tutorial side and thought why not start now?  I used mostly the Sleek iDevine palette in Au Naturel to achieve this look, So onto those most important steps!

Halo Eye

1. I firstly applied a thin amount of concealer to my eyelids to cancel out any blueness and to get a smooth base, I then went into my sleek palette and used the  shade Nougat and dusted this all over the lid to set that concealer.

2. I then took a transition shade , I used the benefit hoola bronzer as my transition shade because I feel it’s the perfect shadow to blend out colours with and I feel there really isn’t a fantastic transition shade with this palette as the burnt orangey shade was too orange for this look.

3. I then started from the outer corner of my eye and blended in the shade Bark from the sleek palette making sure the outside was darker and that I had blended the colour well into the crease so it’s very soft!

4. I then took the Bark shade again and started from the inner corner and blending it out softly to where it will meet the previously blended Bark shade at the crease making sure it is darker at the inner corner and blended softly into the crease!

5. I took a flat shader brush and sprayed some NYX Setting spray to make the colour more intense  and packed the colour Taupe   onto the center of my lid.  ( which isn’t taupe at all its more of a champagne shade)

6. I went back in with the Bark shade and made sure the inner and outer corner were darker than the crease.

7. I used a smaller blending brush and took the benefit hoola bronzer and blended it onto my lower lash like I then got a precise angle brush and took Bark and lined close to my lash line then blended the remaining product on my brush onto my lower lash line making sure the colours were blended well and there was no harsh lines!

8. I finished off with some Maybelline Gel Liner and used some eyelashes that I cant for the life of me remember the name of ,because I’ve had them for so long , sorry!

Voila! You’ve got yourself a Halo Eye! I really only started doing this sort of eye tutorial recently because I never really thought it would of suited me but I find myself doing it every day since its really simple and easy too and will flatter any eye shape!

Thanks for reading guys this was a little different for me to do but I hope you enjoyed it and maybe learned something new!
